Tommy
We were treating animals in one of the very difficult Roma camps and saw this sad and in pain mule. We looked at his horrific sarcoids on his belly and abdomen and immediately decided to take him with us. Tommy is the most gentle soul and so thankful that we rescued him. Our vet operated him immmiately and we were able to take some of the cancer away and this relieved him from pain. We had two more operations and we hope that now we have been able to remove everything and that he can have a wonderful and long, long life with us! You are a hero in stoic heroism and we love you so much!
Oliver
We were called by locals to go and help an old horse that belonged to the Roma. He was in extremely bad shape and when we got there we immediately knew that he needed medical treatment and that time was of the essence. We spoke to the head guy and he did not understand that his horse needed help and first refused to let him go. We went back one week later, again with our vet and she explained to them that this very old horse indeed had Cushings and also had Laminitis. We were able to take him with us for giving them 4 bags of horse food. He had already had his teeth done and he is on Prascend tablet for the the Cushings and his hooves are looking better every week. We absolutely love our Oliver and hope that he can enjoy years and years of love and cuddles and medications with our fantastic SMVC care.

This is a massively horrific case of full blown cover up abuse! The local vets and the municipal vets, together with the authorities have known about this man who runs this riding center for years and no one has ever done anything until now. Last year 4 horses died from his abuse and neglect! We have contacted the local authorities and also the municipal vets and they guaranteed us that something would be done. Nothing has beed done yet, but we are not letting go of this case and will continue to try and free all these horses and close this place down. It can not be that everyone knows these circumstances and no one acts. We shall not give up in the name of the horses and continue to put pressure on them all to finally let us have theses horses!
