Georgina was caught in a wide electrical wire and had her whole wing wrapped around the wire. We found her lying in the ground and cut through the wire and freed her up. We took her to the Greifvogel Station, that is specialised in large birds and there they were able to glue in new feathers, that she lost. She was monitored for two weeks, making sure that the newly glued feathers also held properly and gave her the ability to fly again normally. We picked her up again and set her free, where she is back in the Hasenacher and flying freely again. When we call her name, she immediately comes flying and is constantly over the house and the fields.
We are so proud to have rescued this amazingly graceful buzzard who now lives with us in confidence and healthy!
