The projects below are just some examples of work we have helped with in the past. These shades were made for the Refugio dos Burros in the summer of 2013 to give needed protection from the sun.
This is Moreno. This magnificent horse was stolen from me, being passed from gypsy to gypsy around Portugal, hobbled and abused and starved until he was sold back down to the Algarve, but sadly into hands that weren't mine and although I tried we were not reunited until he had served his purpose as a working horse and was no use to anyone! His injuries and wounds from his cruel life meant he could barely stand let alone carry people. Only after being on his knees was he allowed to return to his rightful place with me.
I brought him back to Switzerland where he belonged and we shared magical moments together once again, until our final goodbye 2 years later. He was my gentle giant who I shared many, many memories with. We shared many a success and triumph together. I miss him greatly, but am honored to have finally gotten him home, where he belonged and knew love. In loving memory of Moreno, a true champion.
Woody, our most dearest and loved Woody. A good friend of ours found him wandering the street of Carvoeiro and he was injured and frail and needed medical treatment. I took him to the vet and he had him operated and all stitched up and she said to me: he needs to stay with me for at least 3 weeks, until all his injuries have healed and Woody stayed with us for 13 years. He was never sick, he was so thankful for every cuddle, every cookie, a warm house and a loving family, and every day he would thank us for saving him, with his wonderful expression, his magical eyes and running around the garden with happiness. We think of you every day and miss you tremendously, thank you for all the wonderful memories and joy.
